Once a receipt is added to Nexonia, users can utilize Optical Character Recognition technology (OCR) to scan the image for receipt data, including the date and amount. 

Note: Rather than using OCR to scan the receipt, users can always manually enter the receipt data if they choose.

Depending on the image resolution, the process time may vary. To get the fastest response time in receipt scanning, follow the rules below when capturing receipt images on the app:

Line up edges and capture the whole receipt

Tap your device's screen to focus the reciept

Take the picture from straight above the receipt rather than on an angle
