Nexonia can synchronize the roles that users have been assigned in NetSuite. This is a two-step process. First, you need to create the relevant user role in NetSuite by adding it as a value to the NetSuite Role custom field, and assign the value to any applicable users. Then you need to create a user role with the exact same name in Nexonia.
Please Note: If the role name does not exist in Nexonia, the role for users is not synchronized.
This article shows you, a Nexonia administrator, how to enable the role synchronization in Nexonia.
Step 1: On your Nexonia homepage, click Integration tab (often named according to your integrated ERP).
Step 2: Click Integration Setup.
Step 3: Click Edit Parameters.
Step 4: Under Users, set Use NetSuite Custom Field for User Role to Yes.
Step 5: Two new fields will generate, Field ID for User Role (Employee) and Field ID for User Role (Vendor). Enter the Field ID of the Role custom field in the applicable box (depending on if you use Employee or Vendors).
Please Note: Make sure the labels match exactly.
Step 6: Click OK to save.
Step 7: Run a configuration sync to bring in the roles. Navigate to the Integration tab > Configuration Sync. Click the Synchronize Now button to trigger a manual sync.
Please Note: Make sure you assign the applicable roles to users in NetSuite before enabling role synchronization in Nexonia.
