Note: Statement Dates are typically imported automatically via the transaction feed. If that’s the case, you can skip this section. If the statement date isn’t being provided via the transaction feed, read on:
Override Statement allows you to manually select a fixed recurring monthly statement date. The default setting for Override Statement is unchecked. Check this box if the statement date isn’t provided from the transaction feed, or if you’d like to set another recurring date as the Statement Date.
If Override Statement is checked, select the Override Statement Type, depending on whether the statement cutoff is based on the Transaction Date or Posting Date.
Select which day of the month you want the Statement Posting Date cutoff and Statement Day to be. In this example, the Statement Posting Date cutoff is set to the 14th of each month, and the Statement Day is set to the 20th. You can even choose to have these dates moved to the next business day if they happen to fall on a weekend or public holiday.
Tip: The statement date will be available for reconciliation reports, but isn’t going to be visible to the users by default. If you want the users to see the statement date you need to add the field in the layout:
Settings > Company > Expenses > Layout
You can turn on Statement Date visibility under:
- Card Transactions Form
- Card Transaction Form on Mobile
- Layout
